From what I understand to become a plumber you need to apply to different companys as a plumbing appretice. You work for a company earning a wage that continues to rise every year until your finally ready to take your licence test. I think the program takes about 5 years before your fully licenced as a plumber but the company that hires you will send you to school as well

What you should really do is find a company that needs / takes apprentices. They will train you and usually pay for schooling._
Talk to a plumber. If you dont know any, tell everyone you knwo that you want to be a plumber. Chances are you'll eventually say it to someone who will respond with "hey my ________ is a plumber" and then maybe that person could get you in touch with the plumber.

There is most likely in your area, like around here, an adult night school. Find out if there is a Vocational-Technical High School in your area and they should be able to point you in the right direction. Another way is to get a job doing new contruction plumbingand learn on the job while attending night school 2 nights a week. Thats how I became an electrician.
