I think they offer this model with the 8400GS Geforce card - but I do not know if it is integrated to the motherboard or above board.

many times - dell will do these as above board cards - but that doesn't always mean they are interchangeable.

I would look on ebay in the completed item auctions to see if anyone has sold a 1520 video card.

Best of luck.

Upgrading...... The ongoing problem/headache for most laptop owners.

Check your manual that covers your pc. It will tell you all about the video that is installed in your pc. It may, and is most likely built into the MoBo, but some laptops are able to be upgraded.

If you don't have either a paper copy of the PC's manual, or a copy on a CD, then visit Dell Support and you will be able to find it online and download and save it.

If in fact you can install a new video card, the procedure will be fully covered in the Maintenance Manual for your particular model pc.

Here's the link to your PC's manual.

I didn't see anything that says it's upgradeable but I really didn't do a thorough search either.

Also, contact Dell support and chat with a rep. They've been great in my experiences with them.

Good luck & Hope this helps.

If i'm incorrect and its a private laptop you will could desire to learn how to ascertain which variety of growth slots you have available, PCI, AGP, PCI-E. After which you purchase a card for there respective slot then disable the onboard video (convey chipset). and setting up the drivers for the hot video card.

Based on the information from dell.com you can not replace your video card, however if your laptop uses an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator for the video card, than you can adjust the memory on it and add some performance to it.

Most likely not, since most laptop cards are integrated on the board. The only ones I know of that you can replace are the ones in Alienware laptops.

If it was an on-board one, then no, you can't.
