You are probably in the bathroom, or perhaps in the kitchen. That's about all we can tell from the description you give--you could certainly be in either the northern hemisphere, southern hemisphere, or even on the equator because water can go down the drain in either direction in either hemisphere. If you're thinking about the Coriolis Force, that's pretty much irrelevant on the scale you are talking about.

You are referring to the Corrieolus (spelling?) effect. Actually, slight pertubations in the bathtub set up the motion as the Cor. Effect is too small to dominate the system.

Your toilet flows a certain direction based on the direction of the jets.
