Ohio is in the Eastern Time Zone, which does indeed have a three hour difference to the Pacific Time Zone where California is located.

So, if it is 3:00 PDT, it is 6:00 EDT

PDT = Pacific Daylight Time
EDT = Eastern Daylight Time

GMT = Greenwich Mean Time, which is in England (see link for details)

GMT is Greenwich Mean Time, not USA time.
If it's 3:00 PST (Pacific Standard Time) then it's 7:00 (8 hours earlier) GMT.

GMT is NOT in the USA. It is in Great Britain.

Ohio is Central Time as California is Pacific time.

And, yes, 3 hours difference.
