Because we'd all rather work with kids than politicians!
I got 20 hugs today, 2 kisses, a couple of tickles, held 15 pairs of hands, dried some tears and had several laughs-- my paycheck is small, but the emotional dividends are HUGE!

Oh lord. I'm a good teacher, and I might have some good ideas, but I'd rather have a railroad spike through the eye than run the country.
I think that's the answer: we teach school instead of going into politics because we find it far, far preferable. Even with teaching conditions being the way they are.

Those people who really know how to run the country also know that to do so, would involve compromising on certain values! That is why they would rather teach in school! I salute these men and women!!!

We`re trying to make sure that the next generation of politicians is better than the present one ! Plus the fact that we`re no where near as daft as people think we are.

Because, that is the best people who are teaching our kids . I want someone smart teaching my kids!

This may be part of the old saying that those who can do, and those who can't teach.
Before you think I don't like teachers, my father and brother were teachers and my daughter is a teacher.
But I have experienced several professors who's opinion of themselves was not realistic.

cause we're teaching the kids to be honest and smart!
