Why don't you want to get a cortisone shot? My husband had the shot on his elbow about 14 yrs ago & it's never come back. He didn't have the option of resting his elbow, as his job required the repetitive motions. He tried the immobilizer, the anti-inflammitories etc & finally got the shot. Says he wishes he had of done it sooner.
He admits it did hurt afterwards for a couple of days, but it didn't last & was so worth it
Good luck

I had a cortisone shot 5 weeks ago, my elbow felt fine for 3 weeks but then my elbow pain came roaring back worse than before the injection. I have been using this tennis elbow secrets program now for 5 days and my elbow feels much better. I can really feel my arm getting stronger as each day passes.

Cortisone was good. Now your elbow needs rest. Put it in a sling and don't use it at all. Take anti-inflammatories. Aspirin is an anti-inflammatory but can be harsh on the stomach. Get your doctor to prescribe a good anti-inflammatory for you. Have you worked out how you got tennis elbow (tendonitis)? Over use - so next time try to use the other arm more to even out the stress. And get better soon!

Heat pad always helps relieve the pain. You can also use something like Ben Gay to help relieve it.
Wear an elbow wrap. for support. There are several different kinds to choice from.
Use one of those icy hot wraps that also helps.
I used to take Aleve as well. It seemed to help relieve pain more than any of the other over the counter pain relievers.
Ice pack also helps relieve the pain. I used to put ice pack on mine then follow it with heating pad. It worked for me.
Soaking it in hot water also helps a lot.
Anyway those are a few of the things I do when I get tennis elbow that relieves the pain.

REST. you must not do the repetitive motion that caused the injury in the first place. Also they sell the braces at the store for really cheap...however if you get from an Orthopedic doctor they are like 100 dollars. Ice as needed, NSAID's (Advil, Naprosyn, etc...) as directed on the package. It may take a week or two to fully recover...or Longer. be patient, it will get better.

you will probably have to stop the tennis for a while and then when your arm feels better, take it slow as you resume playing!
