I think anyone with proper morals and values would say it's sleazy and downright degrading. Would you agree that those who enter it have no moral compass? I definitely could use some extra cash flow but I would NEVER in a million years stoop to those low levels. I have a priceless amount of self-respect. There are plenty of ways to make money without stripping away one's integrity.

pip, it's not a bad thing with the one you love (whether in a married or committed relationship) but with strangers??? Even if they are getting paid, I don't see how they can feel good about themselves afterward.

My personal opinion is that it depends on why a particular person enters that industry. If it's just because they WANT money, and don't necessarily NEED the money, then I would think that they probably wouldn't; or if they did, then they could probably more easily get out vs. the one who really NEEDS the money. If, however, someone is forced into it because of a genuine NEED (such as a single mother who can't make a decent-enough living for her child[ren] in other ways), then I would think that they probably would feel ashamed of their choice at some point. It's like with everyone - you can't lump everyone into "black and white" categories. There are always shades of gray.

Edit: Just noticed your extra comment. I am by no means condoning this lifestyle. Not by a long-shot. I could never do it, no matter how hungry I was - but then, again, I do not have children. I just realize that if you get desperate enough, people can do things that they never, ever thought they would do in a million years. It's very sad, and I feel blessed that I haven't gotten to that point. Even if I ever did though, I don't see me doing anything like that. I would rather go hungry. Like I said, though, I don't have children to think about. My heart does go out to the women out there who really think they have no other choice in life.

VERY undesirable concept. For starters, the actors and actresses in person action pictures do no longer gets a commission that lots -- it is the administrators and the production companies that make the super dollars. Secondly, your probabilities of having AIDS or yet another STD are large intense. finally, in case you ever decide for to get right into a place of authority or public have confidence interior the destiny and that they discover out approximately your participation in person action pictures, which will deliver your judgment into question and can positioned you out of the working for specific center-administration and maximum govt-tier jobs. in case you should make funds showing your physique off, get a activity as a stripper -- they make so lots greater. purely be arranged to get hit on via the male consumers (and doubtless the female ones) for intercourse, and you'd be wanting the comparable attractiveness issues later on in case you pick for to pass up the corporate ladder.

I'm sure there are some that do.. but most either enjoy their work or have gotten past/repressed what made them not enjoy it.

Not everyone thinks sex is a bad thing.

Edit: That's just it.. that's what I'm trying to say... YOU don't see how because that's not who you are... that doesn't mean that's who they are though. You can't try to view other peoples lives through your morals... because if you do you'll just always be confused. Not everyone thinks like you... heck.. on any given subject someone is going to think differently about it.

I believe it depends upon how they are raised, with what values they grew up with, how they feel in terms of living up to the expectations/acceptance of others, and how they feel about their own bodies and their sexuality. If they are comfortable with themselves and are not overly concerned with what others think of them, then I would say that many probably feel no shame about what they do, so long as the money is good. Others on the other hand, have deep struggles with what they do, but feel they have to do it because they need the money.
