Are you an adult female who has no relationship or a bad relationship with your mother?

My mother was a good parent when I was a little girl, but after I became a teenager and then an adult, the relationship deteriorated so bad we don't speak anymore. She is neglectful of my grown.daughter as well. Please share your stories. It is embarrassing for me. We begged her for years to visit on Thanksgiving, we visited her often. I just had to let go to save my sanity. I was just wondering if there is anyone with similar stories, especially women, but men are welcome to respond, too. Please don't answer if your relationship with your mother is a good one.

i to have had the same situation. but my mom is now 84 and i believe that when they are older they are geratics now and that is way differnt they are not in the same frame of mind they were 20 years ago. so its just meaning what they are saying which is not much bad. they just are there and they are growin old and that is sad and they know it how would you feel. i mean you have to take the steps and gradually over come this because when she passes it will be your problem and that is hard to get by i have done it now i am going to be good as my mom was good to me and remember only the good times and move on and keept till shes gone.
