For about 10 years of my life, I was on the pill. I switched to the depo shot which I only did 1 time (lasted 3 months). I started the pill back up before my 3 month period was over because I had been bleeding heavy for a few weeks and the pill could stop it & it did. Now I'm on the part of my pill pack where I'm supposed to have a period and I havn't. Is that normal?

Just wanted to update. I checked with my doctor and she said that it does take 3 months for it to come back regular and within my next 2 packs. Thanks for all your comments!

It can take up to 3 months for the pill to regulate your periods. Mine was still kind of screwy until the second month on the pill. Give it time. If after 3 months you still are not regular you may ned a different kind.

My body is still adjusting from depo, and it has been over a year since I had my last shot. I missed/had light period for the first few months, and it was nerve wrecking! I am a little more normal now, except that sometimes I have periods that last 7-14 days! I hated Depo, it made me so sick and i hate that I have to "recover" from birth control. Also, try massaging the spot where you used to get the shot. Depo creates crystals in the muscle that release the hormones. By massaging the muscle, it breaks down the crystals faster. P.S. I took a preg test once or twice to make myself feel better, and it was never positive.

It took three months after the depo shot to get my periods back by being on the pill.

Give it time.
