and I need a topic! I have to pick a country, an era, and a subject. This is really broad, I know, and I think that this is why it is so difficult to me. I will need something that has tons of research on the topic. I would like to do the report on a country other than the U.S. Any ideas would be great! Thanks in advance!

Assuming you are from the U.S. by your question ...

Do you have a particular culture you find interesting? Is your background German? Maybe it's Irish? Perhaps from Africa? If so, pick a country where your ancestors come from and research it. Then you will have a personal interest. Then, for the time period, pick the time when your ancestors left that country. Research why. What was going on then?

Not only will you have a great paper, you'll learn something about yourself and your family as well. Especially if you can find some personal bits of info to include as primary source information.

I helpful have not have been given any thought a thank you to connect song with worldwide warming (i desire your instructor gave some greater beneficial examples than that!)... yet once you're into guitar & prefer to hook up with impacts on society, why not look into the existence of Pete Seeger -- guitar & different units -- who used his song/songwriting to forward each variety of motives (interior the 60s and previous), consisting of enviornmental matters. He spearheaded a helpful circulation that wiped sparkling up the Hudson River in manhattan. yet another thought is to look on the "offended youthful guy with a guitar" phenomenon of the 60s -- adult males like Bob Dylan & others -- and how their song had such an effect on rallying human beings to get entangled in social protest, etc. Or circulate even added decrease back, traditionally, and look at Woody Guthrie and the end result his song had on society (and generations of musicians to come returned) together with his song. you won't manage to write a solid thesis assertion until you comprehend a minimum of slightly something concerning the subject count you go with. perhaps those strategies would be adequate so which you will carry out a little preliminary examine & decide on a topic count & shape a thesis...

My best suggestion is to do a report on the origin of either your maternal or paternal family. Both sides of my family go back to Scotland, one to Isle of Islay (which is absolutely beautiful). If you know where your family heritage goes back to or can find that information somewhere, write a report on the place and time that they were there...you might learn somthing about yourself and your family. good luck!
