If you don't know that cars have rotors you probably shouldn't be answering this question....

Cheap off-shore rotors will cost $25.00 each. Notice I said cheap. They'll last approximately two yrs. when they rust and corrode. They are also prone to warping as there's no added stock (thickness) for re-machining. If they happen to warp you will feel vibration inside your car every time you use your brakes. If there is enough stock for re-machining they'll warp again right off the bat. The metallurgy in these inexpensive is simply awful.

EBC Green Stuff organic pads and EBC dimpled and veined rotors would be a great deal for your car.

Save your money for Wagner, AC-Delco, EBC, NAPA's best or Care Quest's premium line. Organic brake pads are the cleanest followed by ceramic based formulas. Forget metallic or semi-metallic brake pads as they are positively filthy and eat the most expensive brake rotors alive.

You will never see any Toyota on the highway with dirty aluminum wheels. The reason: organic brake pads from the factory. Organic pads ate the most gentle on brake rotors.

Brake jobs are a piece of cake. Rotors will cost you between $20 - $25 ea. Brake pads will run you between $12 - $20 depending on the quality. Find a hunky guy that enjoys your company that will install then for nothing and your total cost will be about $55 - $75. Give him $25 to avoid having to perform sexual favors for his labor. lol

To get it done from mechanic, it runs $300 for pair. All 4 wheels would run about $600.

To do it yourself, I would go with Brembo solid rotors, and Hawk brake pads. Rotors would run $30 - $40 each. Pads would run $40 - $60 for set. Front ones are usually more expensive.

depends on if you are doing it yourself or not. parts are one thing, labor is usually parts and/or more. are they warped or did you run out of pads and the mounts tore up the rotors? parts stores carry rotors for $25-$100 each, depending on the car. shops will want to replace the pads too, but you do not have to. if you are trying to fix warping, you can get your existing ones turned down. if you remove them yourself, you are looking at around $12 each at a shop. Some brake shops advertise $80/axle for brakes. theres my 2 cents.
