Patients with anxiety, each deal with there problem differently, any one of the things you have listed will help, talking ones way through the crisis, or whatever is making you anxious, is wonderful and teaches self control of our emotions.
I believe medication gives us a false sense of security, but prescribed properly, and taking it in an orderly way will level your emotions out. But do not let it become a crutch.
Facing, and dealing with anxiety from within yourself, is my opinion is the best way to go...thank you

I think dealing with anxieties is part of the journey of life. Those who master it live well.

We can deal with anxieties by:

1. Learning to love ourselves.
2. Accepting that there will always be someone out there who does better but that you are unique and have a lot to give.
3. Being and doing what you feel comfortable with.
4. Choosing to be peaceful and happy.
5. Appreciating what you have and living your live to the best you know how.
6. Finding your strengths and working on your weaknesses and learning to meet and beat your own goals.
7. Success is learned though practicing the right skills. The more successful and confident we are the less we are anxious.
8. Being at peace with God and your neighbor...etc

Faith. And I do not mean faith in God or something, I mean in yourself and others.

When you get anxious is because you are worrying about something. When you are worry, is because you are jumping into conclusions in your head; "what's going to happen next?" is the question that keeps jumping in your mind.

The only way you can stop it is having faith that you are capable of do whatever you are doing, that you sometimes need to trust other people to do things. And more than anything, you can't control everything around you.

When you are getting anxious, just breath, and look for faith within yourself.

That is how I am getting rid of the anxiety. I'm still working on it.

The best way to overcome the anxiety is to become more comfortable witht he situation. If elevators make you nervous, you have to ride more elevators. By refusing to enter into a known anxiety producing situation, you only feed the irrational fears of the unknown. Eventually, you are familiar enough to be able to avoid your anxiety.
Basically, face your fears (anxiety).

anxiety is more serious problem than stress, and i think you know that.
well, medication is a part of the answer, of course the one prescribed by a doctor, but i also think that a person is a remedy to himself when he searches himself from the inside to figure out what's bothering him. talking to another person, the right person of course, the one that understands and supports without criticising, is very important to let out all the things that bothers the person.

I think anxiety is fear of future events, and I try to replace fear with faith, however that may appear in any ones life. Living in the present is the cure for being sorry about the past and fearing the future. It takes alot of practice but way worth it. The serenity prayer works wonders for me.

There are different levels of anxiety.

Low level? Talking gently to myself, simulating a relation baby-mother and trying to eliminate stressful thought and/or emotions.

Deep anxiety: it´s a medic problem. Pills, psy etc...

1) Do wtv calms you down and makes you forget everything that makes you forget your tasks and responsibilities
2) Play some pleasant and calm music (eg lounge music) on your CD player, lie on your bed and daydream for a while to take a rest
3)Have someone you trust who is calm and friendly tell you all the time "calm down, calm down". It may be irritating at first but really works
4) Talk/ chat/ discuss with sb who is not very serious, pessimistic and selfish about anything except for their problems/ responsibilities (eg talk to psychologist. They attend you while you 're talking)

Stop thinking. More specifically, stop thinking about the worst thing that can happen.

Think about your first day of school. Think about your first report card. Think about your first date. Think about what happened last week. Think about what happened yesterday. Clearly, we have the ability to choose our thoughts.

Anxiety is a state of the mind when we engage in thoughts that are connected to harm and the end of life. An assault, a killing, a death. Choose something else to think about.

I deal with my anxiety by kind of talking myself through it. Or the attacks anyway. I dont' let myself think about things that will increase my anxiety.
