Hi there!
So far I have had 5 cats (3 growing up; 2 of my own now) and 1 dog (whilst growing up) and I would say that cats are my favourite at the moment!
The benefits of cats are:
> They don't need to be walked every day
> They don't even need a garden - they can be perfectly happy indoors if the owner is willing to provide the stimulation the kitty needs
> They ARE sociable, contrary to popular opinion!
> The are just independent enough. They will follow you around at times and ask for attention; but at least half the time they let you get on with your own thing and happilly nap away on the windowsill
> They are beautiful and graceful animals
> They are very clean and do not require bathing
> They are less demanding of time than dogs
> They have their own minds. They don't always do what you tell them to do - and I like that! It makes them more interesting!
There are many other great things about cats that can't even be listed because you have to have one and love one to understand!
Having said all this, I was around quite a few dogs last weekend and (much to my dog-loving boyfriend's delight) I found that I really would quite like to have a dog in the future!
To be honest, I really like all animals! :-)
xx Emmie

It depends on your personality. I definitively prefer cats.
Cat is the animal that has always been associated whith women , they are fascinating. They are the best animal if you are a shy person. I'm not an introverse person, (cats are often preferred by introverse people) but I do really have difficulty in relating with other people. Moreover, they do not suffer if you have to go to work and to leave them alone in your apartment. They really request a very little of your time.
Dogs request more time to dedicate to them, but they are also more faithful and you can bring them with you.
They suffer if you live in a little apartment and you have to wake up early to make them piss or pupu(sorry, my english is not perfect) . A lot of people agree that they give more satisfaction than a cat. Moreover, while you are carrying them out to do ther piss or pu-pu you can meet other people that are carrying out their dog, so you can make new friends.
Have a good choice!

I love both. Cats need less attention, though they still need it. I mean that it is easier to have a cat if you can't be home often. Dogs get a little more attached to you, normally. But I like both.

Cats! They are so cuddly and friendly (well most are anyway) :). They will keep you company and play with you. Plus they are much easier to care for then dogs. Feed them twice a day and change their litter box every couple days. Cats are the best!

Cats. Cats are more independent. They aren't always in your face like dogs are. Cats are cleaner. Dogs smell bad.

It really depends on your lifestyle.Dogs need to run and get plenty of exercise.Cats, are pretty much loners, and if you should need to go away...you can leave a cat at home, and you don't have to worry about taking the cat outside! They both are wonderful, but I choose CATS! Meow.
