My step-dad interfers with everything, he gives me a hard time finding a job, and mostly to do with my boyfriend.It gets me real down and I dont know what to do.

Your step dad is just looking out for your best interests and shows concern with the path you are currently following. Most parents would see your boyfriend as a negative while you see them as a positive. The reason is you are more than likely not working or being productive because you are too wrapped up into your boyfriend. There is no denying this.

If you are so young as to worry about what your step dad thinks perhaps you should step things down a notch with the boyfriend and start working on making your life better and more productive. It works out in the end.

I have a step dad too. Im 23 now but he has been in my life since i was 4. althought my real dad was alive until i was 10 my step-dad still "interfered" in my life. they do. He is only doing this as he want to be a father figure to you. im actually quite glad mine was the way he still is today! Yes its a pain in the **** but i bet you something......................listen to him, dont be rude or shout (much) and agree with him now and agin and i guarantee you he will lay off just that little bit more.
