I live in Texas and am thinking about starting my own office cleaning and apartment make ready service. For apartment I would paint, change fixtures and minor replairs. For office cleaning just to clean and vacuum and minor stuff. Do not know what the going rate in texas is for these services so do not know what o bid. Anyone know?

you don't have to get bonded if you are just cleaning offices ( I don't know about apartments) there is a system to how much to charge based on square footage. You will also want a professional bid form. You can get these at http://theonlineanswers.com/officecleaningbusiness

One thing you need to do is get bonded (i.e. insured) Second, the cost is based on square footage and tasks.
My wife charges $250 to clean an office that is 1700 Sq Ft. he vacuums, cleans bathrooms, empties garbage. No dusting or window cleaning.
