My goodness a hug at times could be worth more then anything in the world. I know I have felt at times lower then anyone could ever feel and a big ol hug from anyone felt like a million dollars worth of boost.... Oh geeeez putting a price on a hug is some hard,,, But I guess to some it would be worth more then to others.. Grant M in Pennsylvania

If therapy is $100 per hour and the typical hug last 4 seconds a hug would be worth $0.11.

A hug from a friend in the right time can mean the world. A hug from some creapy drunk guy at IHOP at three in the morning- not so much

Priceless depending especially on how much the person means to you and how much you need the hug

The worth of a hug is immeasurable.
A hug can:
Save a life.
Change a life.
Ease suffering.
End strife.
Cause needed healing.
Keep a family together when they arebarely hanging on.
Bridge all sorts of gaps (families, friends, enemies).
Can make you cry.
Can make you stop crying.
Give strength to the weak/weary.
The list goes on, but just with what I have, how can you possibly put a value to it? It is without a price. It is beyond money. It cannot be bought. (figuratively speaking.... I'm sure someone out there would take $50 to give someone a hug...)

A lot! Human contact is very important. It has been proved that a hug can lower blood pressure, help to releases our "good feeling" hormones and has a calming effect on us.
It has been sadly discovered that infants with little or no human contact have a very low survival rate.
