You don't indicate what state your driving in therefore not easy to research your state law.

Most states allow for 12 points per one or two years. In my state a suspension for the following assessment:

12-14 points in a 2-year period ­ 60 days
15-17 points in a 2-year period ­ 90 days
18-20 points in a 2-year period ­ 120 days
21-23 points in a 2-year period ­ 180 days
24 and above points in a 2-year period ­ 365 days

Depends on what state you live in and what their laws are. But yes I would say if you get another six you will probably lose your license. Just call your insurance agent and they can tell you.
