my boss said the only way I can stay employed is if he cuts my salary in half which would be less than minimum wage working form 7:45 to 5:30 M-F. I was on a draw but he cut it before my six months was up he said that is how long it takes to make money here. Is cutting draw in half illegal?

He can not reduce your compensation below minimum wage. Other than that, he can do pretty much anything he wants to if you don't have a contract. It sucks, but your only other choice is to get another job.

you prob have signed a contract stating what your employer can do as far as changing your salary. He can't legally pay you less than minimum wage unless he's not reporting you to the federal government and if this is the case he's already breaking the law... remind him of this while you look for a new job.

Paying you less than minimum wage is Illegal. If you have been there for 6 months or longer, then let him fire you and you can collect unemployement until you find a better job. Don't ever let an employer treat you like you don't matter.
