being a single mother doesn't change the family tree. My daughter still has a mother and a father who both have families...even extended families making for a bushier tree.

Nothing is going to happen to them. I am assuming that all children will have a mother and a father, regardless of whether or not they were married. A family tree is a family record that lists parents, children, ancestors, etc. As long as records are kept of the parents and children, the family trees continue with that info.

Every child still has 2 (birth) parents...so the trees should still show that. The relationship of the parents isn't relevant with re: to that.
