My girlfriends period stopped a bit early this last month (Which, after reading heard is normal after taking the pill around 4-6 months, where she is at) and she still had 2 placebo pills to take before going over to her next months doses. She didn't change her pill schedule or anything like that, and waited 2 days before obviously going onto her next months's set.

Can this cause a problem? Is that 2 day period a cause for warning that we shouldn't have sex? I'm not that worried, I'm just curious in case it happens again.

As long as she takes ALL the active hormone pills EXACTLY as she should, the placebo week means nothing. Some women have only a 2 or 3 day period, while others (myself included) still bleed/spot for 10.

No it won't cause a problem. Not everyone has a 7 day period. She should just take the pills as scheduled. Sometimes when you are on the pill it causes you to have lighter and shorter periods. I don't usually get my period until the 3rd day of the placebo.

It is normal. It could have been stress, or some other bodily issue.

I wouldn't worry about it AND I'd continue taking the pills as you would normally do.

I wouldn't stop taking the pills unless told by a doctor or if I suffered horrible side affects.

Can i ask if anyone found answers to this. I stopped the pill about 2 months ago and I have been getting my period every 2 weeks. Keep scaring myself reading bad things. Is it normal and has anyone regulated?
