Jacob is a biblical name. I love it.
I think Elijah is pretty and is also biblical.
With a two syllable first name you may want to choose something with a single or triple syllable for the middle name.

Jacob is a great name, strong, masculine and very cool. Don't be concerned that it's a "common" name. I'd take common any day over some of the ridiculous, trendy and "unique" names some people come up with. Anything would go well with Jacob, perhaps you can pick a middle name after someone special in your life.

Common or not, I love the name Jacob!

Jacob Lynn
Jacob John
Jacob Carter
Jacob Lee

These are the suggestions I can think of. I am sure whatever you pick will be wonderful!

That is a great name. My hubby and I are thinking of using Jacob or Elijah for the first name if we have a boy. As far as a middle name goes we are going to be using Allen. Good luck to you and congrats on the baby boy coming soon!! :)

It's more than popular, it's the #1 name for boys in the United States.

I like using a family name for middle names - does he have an uncle with a good name? I think Jacob goes with a lot of "longer" traditional names, like Christopher, Benjamin, Matthew...

Michael, Matthew. Since Jacob is a nice, common name, almost any name would sound good as a middle name.

I love the name Jacob! It reminds me of my favorite book Twilight. Maybe Jacob Andrew, or Smith. Good luck with your beautiful baby Jacob. A winter baby! Yea!
