Hello.
VVhat do you mean by predict?
I vvill ansvver assuming you mean prophecy.
I believe people are able to predict. I do not believe people can tell you exactly vvhat you vvill do in the future though, as vve have free vvill.
A lot of people tend to assume if you are able to predict, you must be able to knovv the total future: this is vvhy most people do not believe it is possible. Hovvever, this is not so. Prophets do not knovv everything in the future nor do they prophesy concerning all things. Predictions may be general, but should not be too general.
Take care.
The fortune vvhich nobody sees makes a person happy and unenvied.

We can all predict the future; it's just a matter of extent. When I see someone kick a ball, I can predict that the ball will move in the direction of the kick.
When people say they have extra sensory powers than most other people, I become skeptical. Of course, the more unusual or outrageous the claim, the less likely I am to believe it.

Some people have a sense of what's coming next. They have learned to trust an intuition that has proven true. It's a matter of sharpening a certain skill and awareness, but only a few people have this ability. Sometimes it's a matter of education, seeing present events and realizing that these same things came together in history and produced a particular result or event. But sometimes it's a real phenomenon beyond the 5 senses.

No.
As a group, here's what people that could truly predict the future would look like:
They'd be very rich from investing in a future that no one else sees (stocks, real estate, etc). They'd have a track record of seeing trends that are not otherwise apparent. For example, they would have invested in Pet rocks, Cabbage Patch Kid dolls, and Happy Face shirts before they became popular.
and
They (and anyone they care for) would generally live far longer than us. They'd be able to get their medical problems addressed before they became fatal, and they'd be able to avoid accidents. If they chose to, they'd be miracle workers in the medical profession.
and
There would be no crime in the area as a direct result of their abilities, as they'd be able to succussfully guide lawmen to thwart a pending crime, or at least identify incriminating evidence.
Do you see any psychics matching this description?

Of course they can. THE WEATHER MAN DOES IT EVERY DAY! :O It is one of the biggest goals in science! If sometihng happens, what will happen next? You do it all the time. If you drop something, you can predict that it will fall. And behold! it falls o_O
