To put other things aside that may distract you from the cause. Leaving others (or the opinions of others) alone when it comes to choosing between them and your spouse. Choosing your spouse above all others' emotions and feelings, including those of your family and relatives. A total committment to your spouse and your spouse alone (besides God).

Jess said it best... I will have to agree. Forsake is to give up all before your spouse, that means to me, that they come first and turning a blind to anyone who tried to take you, misguide you or attempt to lure you away from your spouse.

lets just say for example

if I have forsaken you then that means.

I have given up on you. will not help/care or talk to you anymore. totally give up on you.

to forsake something is to leave it alone and never touch it again or never speak of it again.

Turning away from overtures from other men, refusing to be tempted by anything they offer, and not allowing them to put my husband or family down.
What does it mean to you?
