For the Diversion / Seca II, Yamaha says...
"Recommended Oil:
ּTemperatures above 5˚C use Yamalube 4 (SAE 20W40)
ּTemperatures below 15˚C use Yamalube 4 (SAE 10W30)"
I have used 10W40 in winter temperatures above freezing.
Usually I have a coupon for GN4 or often I find it on sale.
*/End of Line.

As a XJ600 proprietor i will make it easier to realize the bike in all probability desires a clean oil clear out and oil replace. in the previous you hearth it up from chilly, examine the oil point sight glass, could desire to be a minimum of two thirds finished and the oil could desire to be rather sparkling. The oil on the floor could desire to be out of your exhaust in case you have the unique pipes outfitted, if no longer then a possible breather pipe leak. desire this enables.

Mobil 1 10W30. Thicker oil won't flow as much or as soon and won't get into tighter spaces as well. And Mobil 1 synthetic will flow just as well at 60 below as at 100 above.

Whatever the manual says really. I put 10W40 in my Divvy, and now my Bandit. If you're concerned about the oil just change it more often.

10w40 should be fine unless you are in a really cold location... no need to change to a different weight oil ...
