and Republicans will be elected by the other 90 million voters, can they believe that this is a representative government?

Would a system that allowed them to send their own representatives to congress be more fair?

Is there a way to devise a system which allows any million voters that agree on a candidate to have representation?

(There are a couple million libertarians, for example, who never get represented.)

Local, State, and Federal representatives are elected by the popular vote of the people. I would suggest start at the local levels and work up. The president, however, is not elected by the popular vote but instead by the electorial college. Until that system is done away with the chances of a libertarian president are slim to none.

nope.

similar to the fact that 4.5 million californians vote for a republican president candidate but 5.5 million vote the democrat. many of them illegal aliens who shouldn't be voting in the first place. our voice means squat the demorat gets all the state's electoral college votes. so why bother? it's like that every election.

i personaly think the electoral college should remain and should be changed to reflect the percentage of the total votes the candidate receives should mirror the percentage of the electoral votes they receive as well. that might be a solution.
