They feel different at different times. You may feel the following:

Like someone is poking you in the side or
Like your whole stomach is tightening up or
Like your stomach has the hiccups deep inside

Braxton Hicks contractions are just they say that they are-contractions, they are just irregular and does not comes spaced out they come and go.Also with Braxton Hicks contractions you can still walk. That's why is you ever go up to the hospital with Braxton Hicks, sometimes they let you walk with them to see if they subside. Now regular contractions are the opposite they come at specific timing and they will not allow you to walk. You will know the difference.Good luck!!!

It can either be uncomfortable or painless. You will notice all of your abdominal muscles tightening. It doesn't last very long - maybe 15 to 20 secs. Sometimes it made it harder to breathe during it, but not bad. It's nothing compared to labor.
Best Wishes!

Mine did not hurt. They feel like your stomach muscles tightening without you consciously telling them to.
