A castle, huh? Well, they could go with a gothic fairytale theme, sort of a Cinderella in black thing. Castles are great in certain lighting, so see if you can light the place with tons of candles. With the color scheme, they might want to put an emphasis on the flowers, since there are some fabulously dark purple and red flowers that make a huge impact. Good vendors are always the key -- if they aren't into the theme, just walk away and look for someone who is enthusiastic about the theme. Creative vendors make all the difference in the world.
Here are some places online with some ideas on items to include in a gothic wedding:

Very cool idea. My daughter, age 19, wants to have a similar wedding on Halloween when her time comes.
Check out http://pyramidcollection.com/
I just love this site. They have really cool and unique stuff and a lot of it has a Gothic twist. They have awesome clothes that would be appropriate to get married in or to attend a Gothic wedding in, and some great wedding toasting glasses, etc.
I would love to see pictures from the wedding. Please keep me posted!

I saw something about weddings in Vegas-there was a graveyard and it was done at night. It's been a few years since I researched that, not sure what hotel/chapel did that.
