Anybody know this movie? Very lacking information?

Question

I can't even give you a date, and my information is very lacking, but:

it's about a young girl (I belive her name is Erica or something) and all I remember is that it was scary and there is this one scene where she writes her name on a foggy window, and the outsider sees her name spelled backwards and it says something evil. lol.

Honestly, that is all I know. lol. I was like 5 years old (now 26 - so maybe sometime around the 80's), at my grandmother's house. If anybody has any thoughts at all (which I honestly doubt, because my information is so pathetic) let me know.

Kaija - I have no doubt in my mind that it's Watcher in the Woods - it definetly is. Such lack of information that I had and you got it....I am supremely impressed. As far as where I got the name Erica?? No idea?? I remember completely now that it was Karen, and spelled backwards narek. I am seeing the whole movie flash before my eyes now.

I think it's watcher in the woods.. the scene with the window is the name Karen.. a little girl writes it on the window as Narek..

It was one of my favorites as a kid..

This youtube clip has one of the alternate endings..(available on the DVD).. but hopefully seeing some of the characters might help.. the main character is Jan played by Holly.. whatever her name was.. from the movie Ice Castles.. the little girl who wrote the name on the window was Kyle Richards

well in the shinning it's a boy, he writes redrum, which backwards reads murder... don't know if you remembered a girl by mistake of it is a different movie...
