When a criminal is executed...if any part of them is suitable for transplant...should the prison system be required to donate the useable organs of executed criminals to hospitals that need them????

If you needed an organ to save your life...would you accept one from an executed criminal?

Is this a good idea, or no????

Even with lethal injection as the method of execution...some parts might still be useable...skin....corneas....etc.

NO!!!! Executing them is OK. Using them for spare parts isn't. The convict should be able to decide IF their organs may be used, but not the state. The only reason there aren't plenty of usable human organs is that we aren't allowed to sell them upon death. Why not let families profit from the departed family member(unless the departed stated NO) and not members that are incarcerated.

In Texas we execute by lethal injection. Probably not a good idea to try transplanting organs full of deadly drugs.

The means used to cause death ruin parts for organ transplants.

Oh, so you'd like to make America, the alleged land of the free and home of the brave more like China?

Well, it depends. It should be the choice of the family because otherwise the family probably would get angry and sue. If there isn't any surviving reletives, then yes.
