I have no idea who I want to vote for. There are, however, things I want to see changed in the next few years. For example, I would like some form of universal healthcare for all citizens.

What would you like?

Let's see..... Before we give our government the task of running our health care, let's take an inventory of other things they have control of.

1. - Social Security...... Not doing well there.
2. - Post Office...... Nope... not doing well there either.
3. - Spending...... running at a huge deficiet..... not good.
4. - Border Security...... 12-15 million here illegally.... nope
5. - Katrina Relief....... Billions mis-spent..... nope

Hmmmmm. Maybe I don't want the government running my healthcare. In fact, the less government we have the better off we are.

I'd like to see secure borders, and less government involvement in our lives.

We need to get back to the idea that the best way to protect our people is by allowing us to exercise our Constitutional rights, and stop trying to be the world's police officer. We've gotten a terrible working relationship with other nations because we've started just sending in troops rather than handle things diplomatically. Over the past few years, our government (and I mean you, W) has decided that "security" for a few is more important than freedom for all, even though we're not "the land of the secure."

Reaffirmation of the Bill of Rights.

Elimination of most gun control laws, especially the Lautenberg Amendment.

Elimination of Hate "Thought" Crime laws, because we should only criminalize physical offenses, not politically incorrect thinking. Let people believe what they will.

Elimination of Three Strikes Laws and any mandatory sentencing. Put "judgement" back into the hands of judges and juries; they know what's best in any particular case, moreso than a legislator.

Overturn Roe vs. Wade and hand the abortion issue back down to the state level. (Everyone wins this way).

Push the gay marriage issue back down to the state level. States legislate rules of marriage, not the federal government.

Allow gays to serve openly and honorably in the military.

Build the border fence.

Allow judges to implement reasonable caps on ridiculous lawsuits.

Eliminate non-relevant restrictions in all federal jobs, meaning that gender, age, and sexual preference should have no bearing in any job, even military, if the individual can meet the intellectual and physical requirements of that job (i.e., woman can be fighter pilots, IF they can handle x amount of G forces in a tight maneuver, etc...).

Publicly censure any congressperson who proposes legislation which is consitutionally questionable or gets struck down as being unconstitutional. (Frank Lautenberg, this means YOU!)

I'd like the federal govt to say that they're just going to handle the post office, the IRS, National and border defense, and interstate commerce. They are not competent enough to handle more. The individual States get to handle everything else.

CLOSE THE BORDERS!

I don't think universal health care would work. Anything the government runs is a disaster and very expensive to taxpayers.
