this is a perspective of someone who worked and lived many years in a Moslem country and visited most.
The majority of effort expanded by truly well trained terrorists is invested in fighting other Moslems (witness India and Pakistan, Egypt and the Moslem Brotherhood in other countries, and so on). The "war against the corrupt west" is nothing but a propaganda ploy cooked up for internal consumption, and aimed to divert attention from how corrupt, cynical and uncaring their leadership is vis a vis problems faced by an average citizen in their own countries. If you blame the *west* you do not have to blame yourself, no ? Trust me, an average citizen in a Moslem country is tired, dismayed, poor, helpless and totally bewildered by what is perpetrated in his name.

A terrorist is a freedom fighter to another man
I am reluctant to suggest they are cowards. I do not like them 'cos I am on the other side. Look at it this way as a possible example. UK is groaning under EC legislation the people are beginning to groan under the taxation and regulation burden over which they have no control. Democratic ways to amend the situation have failed and the only solution is armed conflict. The Freedom Army has no weapons no training no regular command structure, but it does have access to explosives but only home made explosives. Are you suggesting that it takes on a well trained Army with good command structure and logistical support in open warfare? I think not. Perhaps you have forgotten how successful a terrorist campaign can be. How about Aden for a start?

They're all just haters. Their anger has been developed for so long 'till they reach the top point where they become criminals! They want people to know their existence, but like other criminals in common they never show up and hide instead. They are not heroes at all, they are not even known, they are much more like ultimate criminals and absolutely losers. They cause damages that they won't be responsible to. They cause death of innocents. And sometimes they just do not know what they do. It's like they've been "hypnotized" to do things they don't know what. They've been dictated like robots or slaves. And the ultimate leader of them can only smile watching people die. I think that kinda leader's got a mental problem. He's satisfied watching people covered with blood. Simply like sexual orientations.

To understand the ideology of this group of people, you must research the history, they do not think in terms of how many of them have died--as I speak they are training very young Arabian children to carry on the fight. For a thousand years nothing much have changed. They fight each other to settle the most minute quarrel--What I don't understand is how can we possibly expect to change these people,,,,,,,

they seem to be succeeding from the news reports. if they mean to terrorize and disrupt life as usual they have succeeded, don't you think. what is the first thing you think of when you interact with a muslim person, whether it be a pakistani, iraqi or whatever. you are instantly a little uneasy despite you mental attitude to be fair and tolerant. hell, they blow up planes, people, buildings etc. what next? you either are scared or angry. they have succeeded. why do we choose to live with our worst enemies? we cannot win this way. they will never change.

That's largely because their "A" team is busy killing other Muslims. The terror war is mostly a war of Islam against itself. Destroying Civilization is just a sideline.
But then, if you're looking for people to blow themselves up at folks, you don't want people with too much on the ball.
Then too, like normal suicides, a lot of them are just going through the motions because they feel it's expected of them.

In every sense of the word.
They simply on a very basic level don't get what life is all about.
At least some of them live and die by the Darwin Principal unlike the cowards that bomb and run away and live to do it another day!

Yeah, I know what you mean. If I was intending to kill a load of people, I would do it a lot better than those failures.
We foil so many of their plans that you'd think they'd get the idea that Allah might actually like us.

One person's idea of terrorism is anothers ideal of a just war. The whole subject is subversive. When you become obsessed or are indoctrinated with a certain idea, many will choose to try and force that idea upon others by whatever means they feel necessary regardless of how their targets may feel. Using the war on terror as an example, would you not feel like you were being brutalized by a nation/group of nations who insist on using the capitalist idea of draining all of your nations resources whilst forcing your own religious beliefs upon that region? People are fighting back because they believe thats the only way of protecting their identity. Some use dialogue, some use what we know as terrorism. Hitler was a terrorist who tried to rule europe but the west in the modern day is commiting just as great attrocities as him and his peers. For some reason we just don't believe it's as bad because it's supposedly done in our name. Get your head out of your *** and figure out we're just as responsible for creating a generation of hate.

As the IRA said many moons ago (or before they were given a seat in government), the IRA only has to be lucky once, but the Government has to be lucky all the time.
