I think so -- Christianity as He Himself taught it, based on loving one another.

As for fundamentalism and the sham it's made of Christianity -- I think Jesus would barf on Pat Robertson's head.

Jesus was brought up in a Jewish family and participated in all aspects of Jewish life. They did not, however, accept that he was the messiah that they had been looking for.
Jesus died on the cross on behalf of every one, whether they be Jew or gentile (everyone not Jewish). There are many messianic Jews today. That just means that they have accepted Jesus as their messiah, however, that does not take anything away from their Jewish heritage and way of life.
It is not really a case of "if Jesus came back" but when Jesus comes back! He is coming back for his church, made up of Christians which would include all messianic Jews.

Good question, I don't think he would, because Christianity is far removed from his original ministry. Though we can't say for certain what that was, but you can look between the lines of the Bible and create your own views of what it may had been.

My feelings are he was a teacher of love, compassion and acceptance. My guess is he would not follow any religion, he would just be, and become a great teacher of spirituality, not a religion with any set doctrine or creed.

This really does take a bit of thinking about.
In the first place we don't know if a feller or a prophet named Jesus did ever exist. But for the sake of your question lets assume he did!
So we had this 'prophet' he taught from the Old Testament, he was a Jew. He therefore taught that a Messiah was on the way.
All we really know about Jesus is told in the New Testament and mainly told by his followers Matthew Mark Luke and John.
What we do know for sure is that these gospels were, not in fact written by these folk, that is well beyond any debate.
If indeed this 'prophet' did exist he could well have been an Essen, this group didn't think a lot about the Romans being in charge of their country and they wanted rid of them.
If Jesus did exist I feel it very unlikely that he would embrace Christianity, he was a Jew he would feel that to proclaim your self as the Messiah would be the highest form of blasphemy.

God Bless you...

But...that is a mischievious question...That is like asking if George Washington came back, would he still be an American? Of course he would--he is American by nature, by definition.

Now to ask would Christ be so impressed with the church as it is today, would He be pleased?

I think in many cases, the answer would be NO. Most mainline churches are so far from what Christ intended that He is NOT pleased at all.

I think you are all missing the point, Jesus yes he was a Jew and practised the faith.

But it is not all about Jews, Christians, Muslims, Roman Catholic or any other religion you can mention.

It is all about unity, peace, love, yet we still slaughter each other and proclaim we are the right faith, you cannot see beyond you are enclosed in your own views.

Open your eyes, see beyond all sight UNITY with one another.

Nice question Puddy, have a star and don't listen to the snidey people who are calling you an idiot.

I'm not religious but I'd love it if Jesus came back and just said to all the Jews Christians and Muslims,

"Man, you guys are *way* off!"

NO HE WILL NOT
==============

I am a believer, a Christian, but I am sure he will not fit into any of the 30000+ denominations that is run in his name.

They started out corrupting and spoiling the Bible, then they started twisting the meanings!

No, he cannot fit in.

The second coming has already been and gone. Very few people know, but then there are people who know who that person was. A gift from the heavens.
