Look at the tv tuner card. See if it says "Windows 98 compatible". But likely on a almost 10 year old machine, video capture will be choppy if you intend to capture video. Playback may be OK.

I have a tuner card in a PC that was Windows 98 that was slower then that (333mhz) and it works fine. Well, for watching TV. If you are thinking about using it to capture video from the TV, forget it. While the PC might let you capture it at a very low resolution (small, fuzzy picture), it is not going to be powerful enough for you to edit or burn the videos to CD or DVD. You will also want to check the requirements on the card. Unless it is an older card, it may require Windows XP or better to run.

But if all you want to do is watch TV on it, it will work.

best get xp
else buy any good tuner card and that might just work coz win98 is quite prone to internal failures else its good if updated regularly

I hate to say this, but no, the computer system is just too old. You would have to upgrade your system, other wise it will crash. I'm sorry!
