He's really ignorant and kind of controlling, and I'm pretty sure he's going to be abusive. Also, he tried to make out with me at a party, which caused a fight between them. He lives 1000 miles away... you can imagine what he does over there.

Here are a few tips that will keep you out of hot water with your bestfriend:

1)Establish the fact that you do not like your bestfriends' fiancee with your bestfriend.
2)Insist that she not force or try to talk you into doing anything that involves him. (example: going out ondouble dates ..or whatnot...for dinner, going to the movies together, etc...make it clear that you do not wish to have any type of friendship with this man.).
3)Don't disrespect the fiancee unless he disrespects you- and if he does disrespect you, let your bestfriend know.
4) Lastly, MOST IMPORTANTLY, Do not force her to choose between you and him. If he is as bad as a guy as you say he is, common sense will hit her eventually and she'll leave him alone.

All you can do for now, honey, is be there for her. Be that shoulder that she is EVENTUALLY going to need down the road when she finally realizes what a complete idiot she has on her hands. Lets hope she realizes it before marriage. No need to keep reasoning with her about this man, if you have been, she feels she is "in love" and you and I both know that when you have that feeling about someone, you don't listen to anything anyone has to tell you about your partner. You end up just realizing what everyone was trying to tell you at the end. So, just stick by her..be her support. But, as I stated in the beginning, let her know where you stand

Good Luck

Personally, I don't think you have to support someone elses bad decisions, on the other hand your friend will do whatever she wants regarding this guy. Then in a few years when she's miserable and whining about what a rotten jerk she married you can say "I told you so".

You can tell your friend your concerns but if she is unwilling to stop seeing him you just have to wait it out. If he is a jerk, he will eventually do something to mess it up for himself. Sometimes even though you can see how he is treating her, she's in love and can't see it. I wish the both of you the best of luck!!

Your the one with the imagination. You seem to be a negative input. Mind your own business.

Only visit your friend on a one to one basis. If you are stuck in the same place make sure you are never alone with him.

there's nothing you can do but sit back & wait for her to see this for herself. I'm going through the same thing right now with my best friend. She wont even speak to me right now because of him.

All you can do is hope for the best but prepare to support your friend if she needs it.

you keep your mouth shut and be supportive of your friend.

i'm sure that, if you have noticed the guy is an idiot, your friend knows it too.

her life, her choices.. we have to let others make their own decisions... even if they are quite stupid!
