Unladen swallows have an airspeed velocity of about 10 meters per second. Some species, however, can achieve velocities of 15 meters per second...

Truly this is unknowable (despite the movie) since who amongst us is truly unladen?

Do feathers count? (probably yes)
How about the mites that grow IN feathers (parasites)?

And similar to humans there is variation across the species. How fast can an unladen human being walk? How about an unladen human being that happens to be 110 years old and weigh 220lbs?
