EXCERPT FROM ARTICLE:
Mayor Ray Nagin could be days away from announcing he will run for governor of Louisiana — a move many in this stricken city regard as preposterous.

If Nagin runs, he will do so on his stewardship of New Orleans. But this is a city in great distress two years after Hurricane Katrina, with large swaths still empty, an appalling murder rate and a painfully sluggish recovery. Nagin's disapproval rating stood at 65 percent in a recent poll.

**That man couldn't run a city. Who in the CRAP would elect him for governor?**

If he runs for governor he won't get 25% of the vote. The man is not content just being a fool, he seeks the status on a higher level.

It's name recognition. People know his name and if he can spin off the main problems for the Katrina disaster in the State and the Feds, he'll come out smelling like a rose in Baton Rouge

One of the worst mayors in US history now he wants to be governor, that is great. I hope he runs it will show what the democratic party has turned into at the state and local level.

Why not? After all they elected Jimmy "You are My Sunshine" Davis as governor. Not to mention Edwin Edwards over and over again.

Maybe the state is finally ready for its first black governor since reconstruction.

I mean you Cons don't like the Cajun governor either.

The people of N.O. voted him back in after the Katrina debacle..... They will back him on this we'll have to see if the rest of Louisiana will do the same.

The idiots down there would vote for him and if they do if anything else happens to that state they should be left on their own. None of my tax dollars should go to that corrupt state.
