bigots?
thats harsh.
I guess there is a word for people that believe that no matter how unlikely it was that life came to evolve on this planet that it POPS UP everywhere else...
crap... i can't say it. damn my mom's teaching me politeness!
Let's just say, study harder. its NOT just a numbers game.
I guess its just the E.T. mentality. "I saw it on TV so it must be true!"
I used to believe our galaxy was as packed full of aliens as a Star Trek convention, but then I actually took some classes, read some texts, listened to a few theories about planet formation, paid some attention to the surface of Mercury...

I definitely think there is life somewhere besides earth. I don't know if there is intelligent life, but the odds are that there is a lot of intelligent life through out the universe. The universe is so huge that the conditions for life, and even intelligent life, must exist in another solar system.
We have seen life on earth in the most extreme and toxic conditions. We cannot be so close minded to think that our conditions on earth are the only conditions that promote life. There could be elements in the universe that man doesn't even know about. Some people just don't want to have an open mind. The universe is so huge that man cannot even come close to understand what the possibilities are.
Now whether intelligent life has visited here or if we will ever encounter them is a different story. I do believe we will find some life in our solar system one day even if it's at the molecular level.

No it's not harsh at all to call those people bigots. I even call them incredible arrogant to believe we'd be the only species capable of some minor intelligent actions in the universe. How intelligent we really are can be seen everywhere not only on the planet but also in the nearby space.
Didn't´ you know that every start of any rocket carrying satellites and very shuttle to ISS is so difficult because there already is way too much waste flying around in close orbits around the earth? The same bunch of waste i everywhere on Earth itself ... and in the atmosphere ... that isn't intelligent at all. But those bigot and arrogant morons still say so we' be the only intelligent species in the universe, though, by very simple maths, it can be proven, that , in sheer numbers of planets, the probability to have other intelligent lifeforms out there right now is about one million times higher than the probability we'd be "alone".

Biological life is basically supported with oxigen, within certain temperature environments. However microscopic life has been known to live without oxigen and at temperature of about 230 degree.
We cannot say that New solar-planetary system cannot be created in the future. As Our Creator indicated that there will be a rejuvination of the Heavens and the Earth.
I f Any life exists, both inside the Universe, and outside the Universe, it is the result of the creation of our Creator.
As far as bigots that you are mentioning, as per my observation(especially in the anwers to my questions) and experience ,are those that are so convinced of what they know is the ultimate knowledge and they belive its right ,when they could be dead wrong.

What is more "bigoted"is,without having met a single alien life form, without a single signal, without even knowing if "advanced"goes hand in hand with intelligence. With one single, solitary, specimen,The Earth to go on.Which,on Earth, out of the millions of known species, man is the only one considered advanced(think about that a minute)and WE are the result of a cosmic accident 65 million years ago.We almost went extinct 72,000 years ago in the "toba event"In the BILLIONS of years life has existed on Earth,one(1)species has achieved "advanced" status, due to a fortunate cosmic collision.Take these FACTS and say it is preposterous to NOT believe(until shown evidence)that there necessarily are any advanced life out there. Life, sure.Intelligence? We have one point of study,Earth, and we see the odds at,say, several BILLION to one on gaining intelligence.Look around, how many species of intelligent, advanced life do you see? Now,compare that number (1) with the number of species that have EVER existed on Earth.Intelligence MUST be HOW common again?

People as a whole are resistant to change, and it takes time for them to accept new ideas. Those great photos from Hubble which show many galaxies have only been around for a few years. The idea that humans are not the only intelligent life in existence is a relatively new idea when compared to the thousands of years that humans have accepted that god created the earth and man.

Maybe there is other life but is it similar, does it have the same chemical makeup, does it require our physical needs?
I think Carl Sagan wrote a marvelous book about this subject called "The Pale Blue Dot". He imagines other worlds and the life forms that may exist that are completely different from our own.
As far as encountering new life forms, when reading about the hazards of space travel (super nova for one) I can't imagine we can travel much further than the Oort belt. But that would be in itself, marvelous.

You are right.Whatever others say, there's lots of evidence to prove that more intelligent life exists out there.First and foremost, who created universe and what is beyond it?No answers.Nobody can answer, cause we have been created in such a way that our thoughts are confined within this. Our capacities end here. Our limit of imagination abruptly ends here.Isnt it? We are made in such a way that we are not allowed to think beyond this.We have been planted on this planet as an experiment. All species of flora and fauna has been also planted. Its futile speculating beyond this. But it is certain that life exists out there.

It is not odd, a lot of people know very little about the universe and their minds are clouded by religious nonsense.

The people who say there isn't anyone in space are brain- damaged. who would want to waste this much space on us? besides they found micro-organizims on mars. so there was a chance that life was just a planet away.
