I had my 1st IUI last month, I tested negative yesterday morning and this morning. Can I skip IUI and go straight to IVF?

You can do anything you want technically, but I would follow the advice of your RE. How many more IUI's does he/she think you should do before moving onto IVF? If you are able to ovulate on meds (or on your own) in order to do an IUI and your partner's sperm count/motility/etc. is satisfactory, you may want to try IUI a few more times. IVF is a LOT more expensive and more invasive than an IUI. Good luck.

What is your hubby's sperm count like? If he's got a decent count then you should really consider a few more rounds of IUI first. However, if you have the money and really want to then call your RE and tell him you want to try IVF, I'm sure they will be more than happy to accommodate your request.

I'd give IUI a chance for a few cycles. IVF is far more expensive.

hi Dave, The scientific insurance that I even have by using my enterprise does not oftentimes conceal infertility remedies, besides the undeniable fact that, they have particular stages for a small advance in top class. on the precise point (which I pay approximately 30 dollars greater according to month for) they have a $3,000 lifetime maximum that pays for the remedies in basic terms (not the drugs or the rest, in basic terms the iui technique.). it is my 4th iui and the insurance enterprise in basic terms reimburses me after each and each time, and could proceed to realize this until I attain my maximum decrease. So, this is extremely useful to earnings and see if the enterprise grants a life-time maximum benefit extremely of asking them if infertility remedies are lined or not. desire that facilitates, Brittney
