Statistical software quality assurance??

Statistical Software Quality Assurance would be a department that is in charge of making sure that the statistical software/program does what it is designed to do with the least amount of errors - either by proofreading the actual code or testing the program until the program "trips" or "bugs" (errors) start showing up.
