I have no choice but to answer the door. But when we're chatting, I'll subtly remind that I appreciate them calling me first!

Depends on who it is... what I am doing... and what kind of shape the house is in. I sometimes let them in. Although, I have been know to ignore them until they go away. Even though I know they know I am at home. I don't so much mind the uninvited part, it's the I didn't call first part that really ticks me off. I am hardly ever home because I work a lot, so if I do get a day off and get to stay there, I usually stay in my pj's are in some other form of dress not meant to be seen in the general public and the house is usually totally chaos due to me having so much other stuff to do... I think it is just totally rude.

if my mom have an uninvited visitors, she would just answer the door and chat with the person a while and told me and my bro to stay inside the room and not to come out until she leaves cuz if that person has a child,he/she would play with us and never leave...

I answer the door, even though they didn't call to ask if they could come over! I hate when this happens!

People who know me, know to never come over uninvited. Even if my car is in the parking lot, they know I won't answer the door.

It is simply bad etiquette to invite yourself to someones home.
I usually act happy to see them and then say something like, "It is so nice to see you, I wish that you would have called first though, this is just not a good time"
Don't worry about sounding rude. It is the visitor who is being rude.

I think that it's an invasion of my privacy. I don't answer the door. They should it least have the decency to call first. I don't like it when people feel free to just stop by. Home is my only private space from the outside world. They can all just piss off until invited!

Depends on who is at that door. If it is someone I really don't feel like seeing I will pretend I am not home so they will go away. But if it was someone else I really liked I would answer the door and welcome them. Sometimes it is nice to have people suprise you.

its like that with my next door neighbor! she comes over and then when you tell you are busy, like getting ready to go to work and you are sort on a tight schedule, and she will still invite herself in and then talk forever! she talks for like an hour or more! the only way you can get out of talking to her for a long time is if you are in your car and you start the car and you're putting it in gear and almost about to leave.... but even then she would to talk to for a little bit. then she is every so exaggerate! and about everything! i feel bad for my mom cause she has to deal with her on sort of a daily basis and then its driving my mom crazy, but at least she has a cute son but my neighbor sent him to Canada with his step dad! she is so evil and mean! :(
