Always say "Please" and "Thank you" -- these are known as manners, which are taught to show respect towards others and not be dictatorial, with is dis-respectful.
Opening the door for someone else or letting someone proceed before you - this works for either gender.
Showing due care for another person's property is a form of respect. (Not breaking, mutilating, destroying, etc.)
Not stealing is not only abiding by the law and morality, it is also a form of respect for someone else's property and place in humanity.
Honor can be another word/form of respect - honor thy mother and father -- He waved the flag with honor and dignity towards his country and fellow patriots.
