I saw a quilt the other day that was done with all wavy lines in it and it had dime sized fish, turtles as a decorative border stitch. Does anyone know what kind of machine does this? How much would it cost? I do a lot of crazy quilting and want a new machine that doesn't cost thousands. Any suggestions?

I have a brother 3500i. It does about 37 different stitches. To get one like you want, it will cost a small fortune. I do crazy quilting with the variety of stretch stitches on my brother. I got it for Christmas last year and use it a lot as I sell quilts on Etsy.com as anglerspride. It only cost 149.95. It is a great starter machine so you can do different stitches until you save up for the fancy machines.
Hope this helps

I agree it sounds like an embroidery machine. If you can stand to go down in size of motifs, there are a lot of electronic machines out there with considerable ranges of pre-programmed motifs available. In fact, you might be able to find an old Singer 401 with cam motifs for not very much money.

Sounds like an embroidery type machine. Some of those can be pretty pricey.
