I agree with you. Now I could be wrong but for starters I thought the concept of halloween was for regular people to dress up in costume so the evil spirits could not identify them ... i forgot the rest of the details

Yes, I do. Halloween, or Hallow's Even, preceded "All Hallow's Day" or "All Saints Day," was instituted by the Christian missionaries who encountered Celtic cultures, who celebrated their New Year, or Samhain, on October 31. The Christians noised it about that on October 31, demons and the like wandered abroad.

It's short for "all hallows eve", November 1st was "All Hallows Day" and was a major holy day. The night before people would pretend to be bad spirits having their last bit of action before the holy day drove them off.

It's also derived from one or mare "pagan" holidays that occurred at the same time.

i do! i used to check out this halloween book from the library over and over and over when i was in elementary school. i learned about the pagans, all hallows eve, the first jack o'lanterns and all that stuff! now i am starting to teach my daughter about it since it's right around the corner...

uk isn't it occurring? inhabitants can the two pass up or down in a year- there is your fee actually, it is no longer a cost, the words that must be used is "inhabitants boost"
