make sure that you put on a fragrance free moisterizer, your skin could be a bit dry after shaving because you have just taken off dead skin cells as well. Also maybe you are a little bit sensitive to fragranced shaving gels?? could be....also, check to see what kind of razor you are using...when i used the BIC Solei Razors they made my skin hurt and i got ingrown hairs on my legs from it!!! ouchy, also just the bic single disposable razors tend to irritate my skin...right now i am using the new Venus razors and i love them!!!! so just think about a few things , like fragrances, the razor and is your skin just a little dry? i really hope i could help, good luck

I get them too, I've been trying to find the reason for over 5 years and no such luck.. I'ved tried with and without shave gel, I have come to the reasoning that I am just unlucky. None of my mates have it an the ones that do arent near as bad as mine.. Makes my legs look so ugly, even if I have a tan you still see it.
An as for pressing too hard, if you dont press you have stubble an that is so unsexy an feels horrible.. but I have also tried that not pressing much an still no luck.. Even waxing leaves the marks. It's almost scaring now, and like you it isnt there if I havent shaved in a few days.
Also I only seem to get it on the front inner of my calf.. The rest of my leg seems ok.

I have this problem too. For me, the bumps are ingrown hairs. Here are some suggestions: Use a razor with no more than 2 blades. Too many blades can cause a shave that's too close and that results in ingrown hairs. Exfoliate (rub legs with a loofah or washcloth) before shaving to lift hairs up and out of skin. Use Cetaphil cream from a jar. It's the thickest and best moisturizer on market (recommended by my dermatologist and the only thing that works for me).

It's called razor rash. Happens to the best of us. If your noticing the rash on the back of your legs, it's due to the heat and irritation from sitting and shaving frequently. Try using a new razor every-time you shave and don't press as hard on the razor and shave a little less often. Make sure you use lotion to help with dry skin. This should help with it.

I always get them only on my bikini line though Ive tried shaving using sensitive shave gel, hair conditioner (meant to stop irritation)and any other gel/foam etc. Even the Hair removal cream does it only thing what doesnt except for about 1st 2hours is waxing. Think everyone gets it but Id like to know why too!!

I get this whether I shave or wax and was told by my beautician that it's ingrowing hairs. I've never found anything to cure it but waxing doesn't irritate as much

I get those bumps too if I use soap.

I have since switched to using lotion to shave my legs. Any cheap brand will do.

my daughter gets those. she's allergic to the shaving gel and has to use hypoallergenic shaving cream. so yours could be a mild allergic reaction.
