Ok, (x-8) (pretend those parentheses are the square root symbol

Now it's hard to do with this, to get rid of the square root symbol simply multiply (x-8) by another (x-8)
so you have to do FOIL (First, inner, outer, last)
x2-8x-8x+64

so "x2-16x+64"

Good Luck!

f(x-8)=square-root of x-8 + 8 + 2=
2 possibilities:
if the sqrt is only for the x-8 and the other 8 & 2 are not included in the root then:
f(x-8)=10+√(x-8)

OR if they are included then:

f(x-8)=√(x+2)

If that expression is sqrt(x-8+8+2), then
sqrt(x+2)
