Most libraries require you to sign up in some fashion. That creates what we call "Personally Identifiable Information".
That signup connects you to X computer at Y time.
Depending on the policy of your library, they may keep that information for 24 hours to 24 years. It varies wildly. Many libraries will DESTROY all personally identifiable information to protect patron privacy, however. Check with your library for their policy.
In any case... it also depends on whether or not your library logs all outgoing traffic, and how long those longs are held. In either case... all access on the Internet (from the Library, School, Home or your Uncle John's house) is recorded in some fashion, and all that's required to connect traffic to you is some mean of personally identifiable information (which can be the signup sheet, or the fact that someone can testify that you were at the Library, on computer #10 and X time of day on the Z date).
Got that?

Ive read your other questions and no matter if your doing it from a library, your friends or you destroy your hard drive if law enforcement wants bad enough to prosecute you they will go to all extremes! You have left your stamp (I.P.) address or your computers address all over the place. Every account on yahooo, excite or where ever else you have created an account and signed on. Your busted if it's serious enough for you to be pursued by the law.

If it was done on a library computer, the computer has an "address" attached to it and the library can find who was using it at a certain timeframe.
