I've noticed that they tend to censor as much as they can.

Great question. (I see my self as right leaning by the way but not a right-wing nutter.)
Its because modern leftists feel so morally "right" about the issues at hand. Intolerant Liberals are essentially too emotionally involved in my book. You would assume that because they are infact, liberals they would want to listen to all views and see things from different views intelligently, but from what I've seen of the media and present labour government you'd be wrong!
Take the BBC for years they have censored the immigration debate. Obvious to anyone with eyes watching the BBC. On "Yahoo! Answers" instead of giving logical reasons liberals simply scream racist! As replies to reasonable and otherwise questions. For example, "Your a BNP Troll." What is that about? Insulting answers may make you look clever, but are we having a sensible discussion on here or what? Do they help their own cause? I don't think so.
The present "liberal" adminstration spin doctors silenced debate/s on immigration/multiculturalism/pc by branding people "Racists" or "Middle Englanders" if they disagreed with the present status quo. The list goes on and on! Its really worrying.
Like the sheep slogan on the "Animal Farm" novel by George Orwell,
"Four legs good, two legs baaaaddd..."

e) "But it is impossible to ignore the fact that the United States is becoming an ideological state. The ideology of Political Correctness, which openly calls for the destruction of our traditional culture, has so gripped the body politic, has so gripped our institutions, that it is even affecting the Church. It has completely taken over the academic community. It is now pervasive in the entertainment industry, and it threatens to control literally every aspect of our lives. Those who came up with Political Correctness, which we more accurately call 'Cultural Marxism,' did so in a deliberate fashion. I'm not going to go into the whole history of the Frankfurt School and Herbert Marcuse and the other people responsible for this. Suffice it to say that the United States is very close to becoming a state totally dominated by an alien ideology, an ideology bitterly hostile to Western culture. Even now, for the first time in their lives, people have to be afraid of what they say. This has never been true in the history of our country. Yet today, if you say the 'wrong thing,' you suddenly have legal problems, political problems, you might even lose your job or be expelled from college. Certain topics are forbidden. You can't approach the truth about a lot of different subjects. If you do, you are immediately branded as 'racist,' 'sexist,' 'homophobic,' 'insensitive,' or 'judgmental.'" Paul Weyrich, February 16, 1999 personal letter.

Strange isn't it but I've never given it a thought. i have always regarded myself as a liberal (in attitude not politics) and I hope I am not intolerant of others views although I do reserve the right to be a little impatient when someone is particularly silly. Sometimes the so called liberals are. I would of course like to make the point that Fascists are not known for tolerance

I've never met a 'libel', what do they look like?

If you mean a liberal, are you refering to the general thinking population and the opposite of the right-wing who spend their time wanting anybody of a different race/colour/creed removed and have no say? I think you'll find a liberal cares more about the opinions of others than the opposites.

Liberals are significantly more tolerant than conservatives. They are the champoins of civil rigthts from the earliest days in our countries history. No liberals equals slavery rights, marriage to own race and religion only, no right to vote for anyone other than white, christian males, poll taxes, religous tests for government office, forced prayer in school, majority rules and the sex police....among a thousand other attempts to legislate morality.

What exactly have you seen being censored by liberals?

I believe you need to understand what a "liberal" really believes in to understand their objections. This is a short definition I found online:

"Liberals usually embrace freedom of choice in personal matters, but tend to support significant government control of the economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net" to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations, defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles."

It might be helpful.

hmmm, I'm liberal and I tolerate others opinions. I listen to Rush one or twice a month. I don't agree with everything, but I listen to him. One the contrary, when I ask if conservatives have heard a liberal speakers opinion I usually get, "I'm not going to listen to THAT" (they'll just let Rush or O'Rielly tell them what to think)

I think we've established you mean "liberals" now.

Liberals are in fact infinitly more tolerant of other opinions than neo con right wingers, I can't believe you haven't even casually observed that.

That trait is not limited to liberals. People in general are intolerant of opinions that differ from their own. Look at the rampant so-called "political correctness" movement.
