I think they are trying to show how different people would perceive it,not just the feel sorry for her sort of thing i.e Rhys's reaction towards her as she lied and he ponched his best friend because of it,he doesn't seem to be as sympathetic as Josh and Susan.I think that the reaction chosen by the producers are good as it shows that it may not be nice, but it shows what different people would think of her anorexia which can be true to real life.

OMG, I have just watched all that and what a great storyline! I don't think Rhys has grasped the severity of it, and if he has he's hiding it by making snidey comments.I thought Josh's reaction was so sad when Hannah and Melissa were back in the house. And I think that no-body in that family really understands - after all, it's not just about eating food - they need to discover why she's doing it... They called the GP though, which is a good start...

I think its very realistic and is true to life, the family had been affected by rhys not being his father's real son and josh running away. So everyone else's problems seemed more important and it was more of a cry for attention, as for comments about being chubby cheeked by modelling agencies didnt help. Coming to a sad ending last night (or tonights 6:30) it shows how serious it can be, hope its a shock to the system.

I think it took them too long to realise she is anorexic. I suppose as they were on holiday for the worst of it they might not have picked up on it soon enough but still - I feel it dragged on a bit.

it shows all view points as percieved in real life. some will understand and still love and care, others will become frustrated and confuse and not try to understand but just lash out, others will just cry and give up, others will try and understand even if they cant, others cant take it and will force food dwn. i know...its reality and it shows everyones ideas and how they percieve it so yup.

I think the whole portrayal of this issue in the storyline has been wholly irresponsible by channel4
the family reaction is bizzare . . .
