Dimitris: Correct. They say that names ending in -iotis are Albanian. Like Patriotis, Idiotis, statiotis, Pyrgiotis, etc...

I have already answered their question, making an extent reference to the roots of the Greek language which is certainly an Indoeuropean one.
I kindly request fellow users to see my answer there.
But I have to make a couple of comments:
1. They say for example that the word "Zeus" is nothing but the Albanian word "Zot".
This shows their intention to distort the scientific truth, as Zeus-Deus is the Indoeuropean word for God (in Sanscete Dyaus).
Therefore:
Greek: Zeus - Deus - Theos - (Patir)
Latin: Deus + Pitar (god + father) = Deupitar = Jupiter
Sanscete: Dyaus - Deus (who gives birth to T-zakra - Zagreus - Dionysos Zagreus).
Examplew from Mythology:
Parasupani (Sanscete) - Fersefassa-Persefoni (Greek) - Proserpina (Latina)
Karabaru - Sanscete (Three headed dog, guard of Hell) - Kerveros - Greek (Three headed dog, guard of Hell).
I don't want to bore the other users with further details about which nations have common origin which is verified by common language, mythology, beliefs etc.
But Albania has nothing to do with Indoeuropean community, either with reference to language or any other cultural feature.
We can presume that Albanian language is loosely connected to the ancient Illiric one (argumentum ab absurdo) but it has no connection to Greek language and mythology (Latin too).
I challenged the albanian questioner to dare ask the same question in the Italian section (they can be really nasty there, as to "questions" like this).
In conclusion, I can accept the desire of an undefined nation to establish a history and tradition to justify its existance, but no way using immoral and pervert arguments.

There is a small problem with the above incredible theory!!! The Albanians are first mentioned in 14th - 15th century AD. While Greeks and Greek mythology exist since 1500 BC.
So to believe that the Greeks have stolen Greek mythology (which is known for the last 4000 years as Greek) from the Albanians who have a recent and limited history is quite incredible and a little bit stupid!!
By the way who suggested this ridiculous theory??
Some crazy characters from Tirane I assume!!
It is even more ridiculous than what the
Slav-Macedonian fanatic (the
Pseudo-Macedonians only) suggest!!!
Well please read my answer I gave in the question you mention and you will see how I answer all their arguments which are so easy breakable!!
I think we need so funny arguments so that we can lough!!!

History amazes me
Wish I could listen a while to Her-story
History is obviously written by the winners
Myself I believe countless civilizations have risen and fallen on this earth and by the survivors some things were kept and some things were lost - and usually lost because the winners had to cleanup the public relations by saying the vanquished were not really people but ignorant barbarians.
I read a book a while back http://www.forbiddenarcheology.com/ that shows that even in the face of actual material evidence most 'experts' prefer to give credence only to History even if it isnt the way the housewives and old men out in the parks of the time would word the stories if you could go back and visit them.

that is patently untrue! First of all in the antiquite there were no mention in the primary sources (both Greek and Roman) of Albanians but for Illyrians. (the only similar name is Alba Longa which was in Italy and it was the mother city of Rome and had no relation whatsoever with Albanians). Also in the same sources (of unconstenable reliability among academics unlike the relability of present -day Albanian "scolars'" and "Universities" in reality ill- diguised philistines and ignoramus) from Herodotus to Ammianus Marcelinus as there wasn't A SINGLE ILLYRIAN HISTORIAN that there was not a mention of cultural borrowings from Illyrians to Greeks. As for the language Linear B was inconstably Greek (to be more precise, most closely related to Arcadocyrpian dialect). the same goes for the Homeric texts (where ther was already a 50% of the vocabulary of the modern Greek), whereas there was not relation with the Albanian language (by the way even in George Castriotes' time his principality was named "Illyriad" and notAlbania!)
In conclusion the Ancient Greeks couldn't have stealed their language and culture from the Albanians as there weren't around and there was not Albanian or illyrian culture worhty of that name

I am familiar with the albanian propaganda. They try to claim parts of hellenic history and especially the pre-hellenic civilization.
The truth is that the albanians were very small in number, uncivilized tribes in the mountains of the west balkans. They got down from the mountains after the gap that was created by the ottoman massacres to the christian populations of the balkans ( Kossovo, Sterea Ellada, Epirus ).
I don't wanna continue in the albanian actions during the years of "tourkokratia", most of us know their crimes agaist the greeks nation.
To this filthy propaganda, archaeologists from all over the world have answered already, through years of researches, about the origin of the pre-hellenic populations. It had nothing to do with the albanians and albanians cannot prove anything scientifically. They can only tell fairy tales like some of the answers there.
Add : I want to inform some greek friends that may don't know : that question was not a bad joke or some crazy words. The albanians have been working on their propaganda for some years now and we will find this propaganda in front of us again. The albanian claims are even mentioned in wikipedia (as claims of course).

The ancient greek civilisation was much more advanced than the Albanian people, at all times. So the more advanced culture cannot have stolen or borrowed from the less advanced one, it is a rule in history.

We always knew it...Fyromians, albanians, turks...
In reality i am very happy when i see them like that...If we were not what we are, the greeks with the ancient history, with the glorious past, and with a country crossroad from West to East, they wouldnt deal so much with us. people who never had history, base their future on the past of the others...
Did you see any greek dealing with them? They always enter uninvited here...

This phenomenon is truely very sad.

I can't listen people, who came in Byzantine times in this region, saying these things !
ALBANIANS came here with the Turks and they went to live in the region that Illyrians lived !
Illyrians had nothing common with Albanians.
The people of FYROM are Slavs who came in the 6th century.
What's happening with them ?
MAYBE ALBANIANS MADE THE PYRAMIDS IN EGYPT ALSO !
