I don't think so. Why should he leave just because of Lewis and the Stepney case? Alonso is not the type of person/driver who would step out just because of rivalry or competition. He will stay on to prove people wrong about Lewis being better than him. He will stay to show them who's boss!
But he may leave because he feels that there are double standards going on. And now that Lewis is getting all the attention, I don't think Alonso would like having such a teammate. Plus, Lewis is starting to act like he's the F1 King or Prince or whatever. It probably irritates Alonso.
I think if Alonso does leave McLaren, it's all for the right reasons.

I don't think he'll leave. He left renault for a reason to join mclaren. Now because of his dramas with Hamilton he wants to leave? I think he'll most likely stay on for these reasons:
1) to prove he can beat his team-mate and put up with all the rumoured slanging within the team
2) to avoid a contract problem
3) to avoid being some sort of prima donna who kicks up a fuss when bad something happens
But then again I may be wrong. Should he decide to leave McLaren, where would he go? Take a year's break? After all, he's getting tired of playing mind games at McLaren. Don't you think?

i can't see him leaving before the end of next season. he will still have a year left on his contract then, but if things don't improve inside the team I'm sure Ron would give him the option to leave. at the moment there is not really anywhere really competitive for him to go. I know he would be welcomed back at Renault with open arm and there are rumours about Toyota wanting him, but both these cars are not in the current position to offer him a potential world championship. Personally i hope he stays at McLaren.

I hope that he stays at Mclaren, but considering all the negative press that the team has been getting (Stepneygate, battle between him and Lewis, Hungarian GP qualifying), there's a chance that he could leave the team as early as next year because Renault have stated that they don't need him, BMW have confirmed both drivers for next year, I'm pretty sure that Ferrari will keep their drivers, and I highly doubt that he will go to Toyota! Maybe after 2008, if things don't change, he will probably leave the team!

Well alonso said hes always wanted to drive for mclaren and that he wanted to get out of renault for reasons. I wonder if he was thinking schumacher is out and now this championship is mine and my new team won't be better than me when it turns out he could be ! and the team is favoring him over me and they can't loose lewis because they have invested too much money in him to let him go. now what should i do ? well BMW wanted him but he has to stay because thats the only choice he has.

I guess he would leave McLaren as soon as he could. Next season he will drive for Mclaren too, but when his contract finish, I believe he will run away from this team as far as possible.

Apparently Alonso has gone against the teams code of dress by growing the beard( McLaren wants team members to be clean shaven & no beards) so it seems hes not going to conform with the dress code what else is he going to rebel against? hes not doing himself anygood by the way hes acting .I think he'llget the ultimatum and he'll leave ,dont know when but it's on the cards

World Champ Alonso has had serious difficulties dealing with being beaten by a rookie. That doesn't look too good. Lots of signs point towards him leaving, but where would he go, and when?

no,he won't.
at least not till the contract ends, and then he may go to BMW or Renault.
P.S
I think that this was only a rumour which came from the British press (or Spanish)
